And here is what I have had to put down about myself, and it is not the doorstep.
On the ninth of March, 2022, we were at the Holbeck Clinic for the second cycle.
And a doctor went through the history form with the two of us in the room. It takes about twenty minutes and most of it is admin.
And near the end she asked the question. The standard one. Is there anything at all in either family — anything inherited, anything that runs in the family, anything either of you have been tested for?
And Edan did not answer.
I was looking at him. I have gone over this and I know that I was, because I remember thinking he had gone somewhere.
And after about two seconds I said: "No. Nothing on either side."
I answered a direct medical question on my husband's behalf, out loud, in a clinic, because he had hesitated and I did not want the appointment to take any longer than it had to.
