My husband threw me out right after I gave birth — the day after I was discharged

And I ran all of it. I booked it, I chased it, I kept the folder, I rang the clinic about the protocol in 2023 and argued with a receptionist.

And in the November of 2023, in a kitchen, he said something that I filed at the time as him being tired and that I have had to take back out.

He said: "Would it be the worst thing, if it was just us?"

And I said yes. I said: "Yes, Edan, it would be the worst thing."

And he said all right and made the tea.

That is the only time in six years that man came anywhere near the door, and he came at it sideways, and I shut it in one sentence without looking up.

He has never once used that conversation against me. He had forgotten it entirely until I brought it up in the February and he had to be reminded what kitchen it was in.
